Who is the course for?
This course is for people who don’t have English as their first language and would like to learn some basic digital skills.
How is this course delivered?
This course is face to face in one of our Centres.
Do you gain any qualifications?
No – this course is not accredited. There are no exams.
Do you need to be interviewed or assessed before enrolling on the course?
No, let your ESOL lecturer know if you would like to join a course and they will arrange your enrolment.
What you will learn
• The names of parts of the computer
• To open, read and write emails
• To use Google/other search engines
• To stay safe online
• To access the Learning Hub to practise English
What will you need to bring?
You will need an A4 ringbinder, pen, pencil and notebook. If you have a smart phone you are welcome to bring it.
What next?
You can progress to further digital skills courses and ESOL courses. Your teacher will advise which level is right for you.
