This practical 10-week course introduces learners to the fundamentals of sculpture through clay modelling and plaster casting. Participants with learn how to build forms in clay, explore texture and surface and create simple moulds to cast their work in plaster.
The course is suitable for beginners as well as those wishing to develop their existing creative skills.
Through demonstrations, guided exercises and individual projects, learners will gain confidence working in three dimensions, while developing observational and modelling skills.

Working with clay and plaster requires attention to safe studio practice. The tutor will demonstrate safe mixing, handling, and clean-up procedures. Protective clothing e.g. and apron or old shirt is recommended.
