This 5-week course provides older adults and people with disabilities with a friendly, accessible introduction to air fryer cooking. Through step-by-step guidance, learners will develop skills in safe air fryer use, simple meal preparation and healthy, budget-friendly cooking. Each session includes practical cooking activities and a shared meal. The course is adapted to meet individual needs.

Course Objectives
By the end of the course, learners will:
- Use an air fryer safely and confidently.
- Prepare simple, healthy, budget-friendly meals.
- Increase confidence using kitchen equipment independently or with support.

Target Audience
- Older adults who are new to air fryer cooking.
- Learners with disabilities, with adjustments made to support different abilities and ensure inclusion.
Course Content
Week 1: Introduction to Air Frying
Air fryer parts, functions and safety; using controls; practical activity baking a jacket potato; meal: jacket potato with fillings.
Week 2: Vegetables and Food Hygiene
Basic food hygiene; cooking vegetables in an air fryer; practical activity preparing vegetables; meal: couscous with roasted vegetables.
Week 3: Budget-Friendly Cooking
Shopping and cooking on a budget; practical activity cooking chicken wings; meal: chicken wings with rice.
Week 4: Healthy Cooking
Healthier cooking techniques using less oil and retaining nutrients; practical activity preparing salmon; meal: salmon with salad and rice.
Week 5: Final Practical and Celebration Meal
Review of key techniques; practical activity cooking a whole chicken and roasted vegetables; celebration meal prepared and shared by participants.
Accessibility and Support
Activities can be adapted for physical, sensory or learning disabilities. Reasonable adjustments, including adaptive equipment and additional support, can be provided where required.
Course Materials
Air fryers, ingredients and easy-to-read recipe cards with large print instructions will be provided.
