Develop your confidence in growing your own fruit and vegetables during the autumn season. This practical, hands-on course is ideal for beginners or those looking to refresh their skills.

You will learn how to prepare soil, plant seasonal crops, maintain your plot, and harvest produce suited to the cooler months. The course promotes sustainable gardening, wellbeing, and healthy living while connecting learners with nature and the local community.

Do you gain any qualifications?
No formal qualification however you will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Course Objectives
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Prepare soil and beds for autumn planting
- Identify suitable autumn fruit and vegetable crops
- Sow seeds and plant effectively
- Maintain crops through watering, feeding, and pest control
- Understand seasonal growing cycles
- Harvest produce correctly and safely
- Apply sustainable and organic gardening principles

What to Bring
- Comfortable clothes and sturdy footwear suitable for outdoor activity
- Waterproof coat / rain protection
- Water bottle
- Gardening gloves (optional – some will be provided)

Additional Notes
In case of bad weather, alternative indoor learning activities will be provided.
Learners will receive guidance to continue gardening at home
