This qualification is ideal for those looking to advance in their beauty therapy career. It covers a wide range of skills including body massage, facial and body electrotherapy, microdermabrasion and spa treatments.
Course Delivery
This course is delivered through a blended learning approach, combining face-to-face and online learning. Classroom sessions will take place at Queens Road Learning Centre from 9.30am to 3.00pm, followed by a tutor-led online session from 4.00pm to 6.00pm. Learners are required to attend both the classroom and online sessions as part of the course.
This diploma is perfect if you hold a Level 2 qualification, or have experience working in the Beauty Therapy Industry, the qualification will help you to further develop your skills enabling you to specialise in areas of beauty or move into management roles. You may already be supervising others or managing resources and this qualification can support your progress. You will be assessed by experienced Tutors, through assignments, practical tasks, and online tests, all of which are uploaded onto the online platform Manage Assess.
How Will I be Assessed
You will build a portfolio of your work on the online platform Manage-Assess and will be assessed in your practical work by your Lecturers. You will have online exams and written assignments.
Equipment:
You will need to purchase a Beauty Therapy kit to complete the course. This will be discussed in Induction when you start your course. If you are on a low wage, you may be eligible for support through the Hardship Fund.
Progression:
You will be fully qualified to work as a beauty therapist or you can progress into a Level 4 qualification or Higher Education.
Course Enrolment and Assessment:
Before enrolling, you must attend a face-to-face interview that includes a short English and Maths assessment to ensure the course is suitable for you. This assessment lasts around 2 hours.
