Course description
This practical six‑week course introduces learners to the fundamentals of sculpture through hands‑on clay modelling and plaster casting. You will learn how to build forms in clay, explore texture and surface, and create simple moulds in order to cast your work in plaster.
The course combines demonstrations, guided exercises and individual projects, helping you develop confidence working in three dimensions. You will explore key sculptural concepts such as form, volume, proportion and stability, while developing observational and modelling skills.
By the end of the course, you will complete a finished sculptural artwork and gain a solid foundation in basic modelling and casting techniques.
