Course Description:
A monthly art and craft club for families with SEND.
This will be a fun and relaxed session where you can enjoy being creative in a supportive environment.
Throughout the course you will explore different materials and ways to make beautiful and fun art and craft projects, build confidence and enjoy the process of making art in a supportive environment.
You will experiment with materials such as paint, clay and paper.
This course is designed to make the benefits of creative arts accessible, supporting learnings with visual stories, adapted communication, sensory awareness and adapted use of tools and materials.
Who is the course for?
This course is for families of children with SEND including autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, physical motor differences and learning disabilities.
Do you need to be interviewed or assessed before enrolling on the course?
When enrolling, you will have the opportunity to help us understand your needs, your interests and any support you require.
Rolling monthly sessions
Session 1 – Making sensory rain stick using recycled cardboard tubes to create and decorate a sensory soothing ‘rain stick’.
Essential equipment and resources
- All required equipment and resources materials will be supplied
- Wear clothes suitable for messy art activities
