No – this course is not accredited. However, it provides a strong foundation and preparation for progression to the Start Sewing Course or the Fashion – Level 1 Award in Garment Making.

Learning Outcomes:
-Perform basic repairs (patching, hemming, reattaching buttons).
-Alter garments for better fit.
-Understand different types of seams and stitches used in alterations.
-Use hand-sewing and machine techniques for repairs.

Entry Requirements: Basic sewing skills recommended.
Materials Needed: Old garments for repair, needles, thread, scissors, pins.

Assessment: Completion of at least two garment repairs or alterations.
