Over four sessions, you'll learn to craft a beautiful autumn-themed cake step-by-step, from foundational skills to detailed decorative techniques. Perfect for beginners and hobby bakers wanting to develop confidence and create a show-stopping seasonal centrepiece.
Course Breakdown:
Week 1:
-Introduction to Cake Decorating & Autumn Themes
-Preparing your cake for decorating (levelling, filling, and crumb-coating)
-Colouring techniques and introduction to fondant/marzipan modelling
Week 2:
-Modelling Fruits & Vegetables
-Creating miniature pumpkins, grapes, apples, corn, and more
-Texturing and colouring for a realistic harvest look
Week 3:
-Crafting the Horn of Plenty & Foliage
-Shaping and assembling the cornucopia (horn) structure
-Modelling autumn leaves and additional decorative elements
Week 4:
-Assembling & Finishing the Cake
-Arranging your fruits, vegetables, and horn on the cake
-Final detailing, presentation, and tips for transport and display
