Assessment Method: Written assessment and speaking & listening tasks
Course Content:
• Reading: Recognising common words, understanding simple sentences, reading short texts for basic information
• Writing: Using capital letters, full stops, simple punctuation, spelling common words correctly, writing simple sentences
• Speaking, Listening & Communication: Understanding short discussions, responding appropriately, using simple vocabulary
Progression Opportunities:
• Progress to Functional Skills English Awards E2
• Support for employment and everyday communication skills
