Introduction to Barbering
Duration: 8 weeks
Barbering has always been a rewarding job. It is known that 75% of men go to a salon at least once a month, which means that such a business is profitable. However, to be successful as a barber requires excellent skills, ensuring good standards of customer service and cutting and styling hair and facial hair.
This is an eight-week course that develops your skills in barbering techniques. You will learn how to consult and advise with clients. shampoo and condition hair and cut hair and facial hair using clippers and scissors.
Progression
Progression opportunities include Level 2 certificate in barbering.
Equipment
You will need to purchase a Barbering kit to complete the course.
Paying for the course
If you’re on a low wage or receiving certain benefits you may qualify for a 100% or 70% concession. Speak to our frontline staff to find out if you are eligible.
Course Enrolment and Assessment
Before enrolling, you must attend a face-to-face interview that includes a short English and Maths assessment to ensure the course is suitable for you. This assessment lasts around 2 hours. To book an appointment please call reception at Queens Road.
