The Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading course provides a nationally recognised qualification and is designed to help individuals develop the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively lead and manage a team of people in a professional setting.
The course covers topics such as communication, motivation, delegation, conflict resolution, goal setting, and performance management. The aim of this course is to equip you with the tools needed to lead a team to success, and to help you develop the confidence and competence necessary to handle a range of managerial tasks and responsibilities.

You will learn the core skills needed to lead a team successfully as well as motivation techniques to get the best from people and how to plan, allocate and monitor work. The course will also give you tools and techniques to develop yourself as a leader.

Progression
After completing a team leading course you may be able to progress to a variety of roles within your organisation or industry. Some possible career paths for someone with team leading skills and knowledge could include:

• Managerial roles
• Project management roles
• Training and development roles:
• Human resources roles.

Eligibility & assessment

To enrol in this course, you must be in a supervisory position and not have previously completed a Level 2 qualification in Business Administration.

The course will be held in person and full attendance is required. Prior to acceptance onto the course all applicants must complete the ILM occupational skill scan which will evidence how you will meet the mandatory learning outcomes to ensure achievement.

Please note that to complete some of the course assignments, you need to be allocating and monitoring the work of your team.
