This course is for anyone interested starting to learn about different drawing techniques. The course will explore different ways of mark making and a range of imagery related to the Wetlands. The course opens the possibility of using arts and craft to socialise, as a career change and/or as basis for enterprise or self-employment.
In this course: On this 5-week course you will be introduced to different ways of developing your drawings and gaining confidence with a range of drawing materials. You will use unique location of the Wetlands to inspire your work and to connect with nature.
Who is the course for?
This course is suitable for beginners and to those with more experience.
What will you learn?
• You will learn a range of different drawing techniques.
• You will learn how to work with a range of different drawing materials to develop your skills.
• You will have the chance to develop your own designs to explore imagery related to the Wetlands.
• Have 1:1 help with the development of ideas and for support.
• Explore ways to use your work look at options of enterprise opportunities.
• Develop research skills and ideas.
• Through a range of demonstrations.
How is the course delivered? What subjects or area will be looked at each week?
• Week 1- Introduction to the course, drawing tasks introducing Wetlands theme.
• Week 2- Guided Wetlands walk, to be arranged. Drawing outside weather permitting
• Week 3- Explore materials- charcoal.
• Week 4- Exploring mark making using monoprint.
• Week 5- Continue to explore monoprint technique using own imagery from Wetlands.
