Introduction to Photography
The Introduction to Photography is suitable for learners with an interest in photography who are looking to return to learning or considering a change in career. Over the course of 8 weeks (one day each week), you will develop your knowledge researching a brief history of photography and the evolution of different formats (film, digital, phone).
You will understand the essential principles of composition that help create visually compelling photos.
You will explore the difference between natural and artificial light, and how to work with both. Using your images to tell stories, whether through portraits, landscapes, or abstracts, and be Introduced to basic photo editing techniques.
How You will be Assessed: You will build a portfolio of evidence and be assessed by your tutor
Entry Requirements:
You do not need to complete an assessment. However, to complete this course you need to be able to read and write English fluently, at least to Entry 3 level and have a basic knowledge in computer skills. Please bring a pen, notebook and your phone or camera.
