This course is suitable for those who have completed a beginner-level exploring drawing course or who have some basic experience with drawing . It is the next step after Exploring Drawing for Beginners.
This course is not accredited, but it provides further development for those preparing to progress to the Level 1 Certificate in Art and Design.

Course Overview:
This intermediate-level course is designed for learners who wish to develop their drawing skills further, building on basic techniques to create more refined and expressive artworks.
With friendly and supportive guidance, you will gain greater confidence in observing and interpreting what you see, learning to draw with sensitivity, energy, and a personal touch. The course will help you explore line, tone, texture, colour, and composition in greater depth, encouraging you to experiment with different tools and materials to enhance your unique style.
You’ll discover how working with pen, pencils, pastels, charcoal, and ink can open up new creative possibilities, giving you a richer understanding of what makes an image visually engaging and successful. Emphasis will be placed on developing your observational skills and finding confidence in your artistic choices.
