Course Title: Maths for ESOL Awarding Body: City and Guilds Achievement and Certification: Maths Skills Award in Numeracy

This course is for you if English is a second language and you want to improve and develop maths skills for employment or everyday life. It is suitable if you have studied some maths in your own language need maths vocabulary to understand and solve maths problems in English.

Course Content:
• Number: Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, using money, rounding numbers
• Measure & Shape: Measuring length, weight, capacity, recognising 2D and 3D shapes, reading a calendar
• Handling Data: Reading bar charts, simple tables, and tally charts
• You will learn a range of maths vocabulary.

Progression Opportunities:
• Progress to Functional Skills Maths Entry 2 or Entry 3
• Supports everyday numeracy and employment skills

You will learn a range of entry level maths skills including number and measurement.
You will aslo learn a range of maths vocabulary and use langaugae to solve matsh problems.
