In this fun and creative 3 hour session, you’ll learn how to design and craft your very own fascinator – a stylish headpiece perfect for weddings, races, or special occasions. Guided by an experienced instructor, you'll explore basic millinery techniques, work with materials like sinamay, feathers and netting and leave with a unique, handmade accessory. No prior experience is needed.
What you will cover
- Combining different colours of ribbon, buttons and fabric, make bows and flowers to decorate
- Pin and sew (or glue) elements to a fascinator base
- Learn different ways to attach and wear a fascinator
Essential equipment
All materials and equipment will be provided to you. Please bring a bag to take your finished item home with you.
Progression
You can enrol onto many of the creative courses available, including Millinery – Felt or Straw Hat, Summer Sinamay Hat, Start Sewing, Crochet, Upcycling, Garment Making, Dressmaking, Printmaking, Watercolours and other arts and crafts classes.
