Course Title: Basic ICT Skills Workshop for Beginners
Thursday 6th February Lea Bridge Library 10-12pm
Who is the course for?
This workshop is aimed at adults who are complete beginners with ICT and want to learn basic digital skills. The workshop is particularly useful for those who want to learn computer basics understanding hardware, software, and operating systems and about browsing the internet and sending emails.

Do you need to be interviewed or assessed before enrolling on the course?
No interviews or pre-course assessments are required.
You will learn to:
This one-off, 2-hour in-person workshop will be delivered through live demonstrations, hands-on practice and group discussions. The focus areas are:
• Introduction to sending and receiving emails: Participants will learn how to compose, send and reply to emails using their mobile phones or computers
• Navigating the internet: Participants will practice using search engines and explore websites to find local free activities and events in Waltham Forest, including the Waltham Forest Council and William Morris Gallery websites and other websites of interest
• Computer Basics: Understanding hardware, software, and operating systems

Essential equipment and resources
A mobile phone with internet access or you can use the library computers.
What next?
After completing this workshop, participants may consider enrolling in more advanced ICT courses to build on the skills learned or explore other community-based learning programmes, such as courses focusing on productivity tools like Word and Excel.
