This course is for anyone interested in developing their printmaking skills.
In this course: On this 5-week course you will learn how to develop and explore a range of printmaking skills including polyplate and relief printing. You will investigate and experiment with these different low-tech processes to create a range of exciting outcomes such as cards and prints. The course opens the possibility of using arts and craft to socialise, as a career change and/or as basis for enterprise or self-employment.
Who is the course for?
This course is suitable for beginners and for those with some experience.
What will you learn?
• You will learn how to develop your printmaking skills and combine different techniques to create your outcomes.
• You will explore a range of printmaking techniques using hand printing.
• Develop your own designs and experiment with the techniques to extend your knowledge.
• You will explore colour and different surfaces to print on such as fabric and different papers.
• Have 1:1 help with the development of ideas and for support.
• Explore ways to use your work, look at options of enterprise opportunities.
• Develop research skills to generate your own ideas
• Learn through a range of practical demonstrations
