This course is for anyone interested in starting to learn about different printing techniques. The course will explore different ways of using a range of imagery related to the Wetlands.
In this course: On this 4-week course you will be introduced to different ways of developing your observations to embark on print making. You will use unique location of the Wetlands to inspire your work and to connect with nature. Suitable for both beginners and those with more experience

What will you learn?
• You will learn a range of different observation techniques in preparation for print-making.
• You will learn how to work with a range of different materials to develop your skills in printmaking.
• You will have the chance to develop your own designs to explore imagery related to the Wetlands.
• Experiment with various inking and printing techniques and discover the magic of mixing and working with a range of vibrant colours

How is the course delivered? What subjects or area will be looked at each week?
• Week 1- Introduction to the course, printmaking tasks introducing Wetlands theme.
• Week 2- Guided Wetlands walk, to be arranged. Drawing outside weather permitting
• Week 3- Explore materials- printing inks, colour and mixing techniques for developing your work
• Week 4- Exploring mark making using monoprint and imagery from Walthamstow Wetlands

• an apron, A4 folder, notebook and pen
