Reduce Your Carbon Impact and Live Sustainably

Human activity is changing the climate of our planet and destroying its biodiversity at an unprecedented rate. In this two week course we will explore Climate Change and what it means to be green.
The course will enrich your understanding of the basic science behind climate change and how your lifestyle impacts the environment. You will come away from the course with a practical toolkit of what you can personally do to help reduce your carbon footprint.

The course will be delivered through face-to-face workshops, slide presentations, films, interactive activities and group discussions.

Week 1
 The background – setting the scene
 How climate change affects you and the people around you
 The science behind climate change
 Social equity and climate change

Week 2
 What you can personally do to act on climate change
 How to develop your own responses for lowering your carbon footprint and the carbon footprint of others
 Strategies and skills for communicating action on climate change

Who is the workshop for?
Anyone who is interested in enriching their understanding of climate change and becoming more carbon literate.

Do you gain any qualifications?
No – however, you will receive a certificate for attending the course

Do you need to be interviewed or assessed before enrolling on the course?
No.
