Course description:
If you are interested in Teaching assistant, this course is for you. You will develop your knowledge and understanding of various topics and the skills required to meet the support needs of primary, secondary and special needs schools. Topics will include, children’s and young people’s stages of development, Communication and professional relationships with Children, young people and Adults, safeguarding the welfare of children and young people.

The level 2 Certificate is accredited by City and Guilds and consists of the following units:

• Communication and Professional Relationships with Children, Young People and Adults
• Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
• Team Building Skills
Entry requirements:
You will need to attend an interview and complete an assessment before enrolling on the course. If you already have an English Level 2 Certificate or GCSE grade C, you may not be required to complete an assessment but you will need to provide proof. Finally, you will also need to arrange your own 6 hour school placement and bring a letter confirming this prior to enrolling.
