Course Title: Passport to Work Programme - 2024-25

This programme could lead directly to employment or enable you to gain skills for future employment.

This high-quality bespoke training programme has been created to be flexible and adaptable while providing tailored support, so you stand the best possible chance of securing employment within the current labour market.

This programme is aimed at Waltham Forest residents who are currently unemployed or have been made redundant and are seeking to update their skill set to find employment.

You can gain a qualification in Digital Skills as well gaining practical employability skills on completion of the programme. You will also gain hands on work experience.

You will gain the following skills and qualifications:

Employability Skills:

• Communication Skills
• Presenting yourself for work
• Equality and Diversity
• Online Etiquette and Safety
Essential Digital Skills Level 1 EDSQ Qualification:
• Using devices and handling information
• Creating and editing
• Communicating
• Transacting
• Being safe and responsible online
Work Experience:
You will have the opportunity to complete a work placement at one of the Libraries within Waltham Forest and we may be able to offer you an alternative work placement as well.

Booking an Assessment:
You will need to attend an information session if you are interested in joining our Passport to Work Programme.

The session will last for around 2 hours. During this time you will watch a short presentation about our Passport to Work programme, followed by a short assessment in English and Digital Skills.
