This short workshop is aimed at adults who would like to gain a better appreciation of themselves and enhance their wellbeing using writing as a tool.

Perhaps you are new to journaling or tried in the past but thought you were not good at it.
This workshop will explore how to establish a regular writing practice setting you free from the fear of perfection. Some research evidence confirming the psychological benefits of writing in this way will be highlighted.

You will learn writing techniques to use for therapeutic benefits including managing your emotions and thoughts, finding balance, gaining insights and nurturing your wisdom.

In the workshop, we will cover topics that you can write about including your perceived failures and how to transform them on the page or how to develop your relationship with nature.

Please note that this short session is not intended to replace seeking professional help for significant physical, emotional and mental health problem.

This session will be live online. Participants might be asked to access on-line links, download information, answer quizzes, view a short video and take part in group discussions.

What will you learn?
By the end of the session, you will have developed:
- essential knowledge about yourself,
- access to resources to review your progress and continue develop your knowledge.

Essential equipment and resources
- Computer, tablet or smartphone with sound (these will be held online)
- Miscellaneous resources - mostly available at home
