The VTCT Level 1 Certificate in an Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector provides a wide range of practical skills from both industries. It’s perfect for beginners, preparing you for work as a supervised assistant or apprentice or for further studies in hairdressing and beauty therapy.
This qualification offers a solid foundation, covering essential skills in Hair and Beauty. You’ll gain practical experience in units like creating an image using colour, basic manicures or pedicures, and styling women’s hair. The course includes hands-on opportunities to perform basic services while assisting others in the salon.
Mandatory Units:

Progression
You can progress to a range of Level 2 qualifications.
Equipment:
A Hairdresser’s kit is required to complete the course.
