In today’s digital age, children are spending more time online making it important for parents to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to ensure their safety. This free workshop is designed for parents/guardians and anyone concerned about the potential risks children may encounter on the internet. Our goal is to empower you with the tools and confidence to support and protect your child in the digital world while enhancing your own computer skills.
What will I learn?
• Understanding online risks: Recognising the potential threats your child may encounter online and understand how to mitigate these risks.
• Effective parental controls: Setting up and managing parental controls on devices and platforms to create a safe online environment for your child.
• Safe browsing practices: Teaching your child safe browsing practices and how to make responsible decisions online.
• Communication Strategies: Develop effective communication strategies to talk to your child about their online experiences and encourage open dialogue.
• Digital Footprint Awareness: Understand the importance of digital footprints and how to educate your child about maintaining a positive online presence.
