Course Title: Ceramic Jewellery

Course Description: Ceramic Jewellery
Our Ceramic Jewellery course focuses on creating jewellery pieces using ceramics as the primary material. The class covers basic techniques for making ceramic jewellery, such as hand-building, slab building, and slip casting, as well as design principles and aesthetic considerations specific to jewellery making.

You will learn to create unique and customized jewellery pieces, such as earrings, pendants, bracelets, and rings, using different types of clay and surface treatments. The class also covers techniques for applying colour, texture, and pattern to the ceramic pieces, either by using glazes or adding other decorative elements such as beads, wire, or other metals.

Ceramic Jewellery classes provide a creative and practical way to explore the potential of ceramics as a medium for jewellery making. They are suitable for both beginners and experienced artists, and they offer a fun and collaborative environment for students to learn new techniques and share ideas. Additionally, ceramic jewellery is a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to traditional jewellery materials, making these classes a great choice for anyone interested in creating environmentally conscious and unique pieces of jewellery.

Progression: you can enrol onto many of the creative courses available, including Start Sewing, Upcycling, Garment Making, Dressmaking and other arts and crafts classes. Please see our prospectus and website for the full list of courses available."
