Who is the course for?
This course is aimed at complete beginners, or with little experience of patchwork and quilt making. This course is also suitable for those who wants to explore new ideas and develop their skills and techniques up to a good standard.

What will you learn?
During this course you will develop your skills and knowledge of patchwork and quilting techniques by making some small projects such as table runner, cushion covers, small purses etc.
You will be learning and experimenting with both hand and machine sewing techniques and you will have the opportunity to choose and complete your own personal textile projects under the tutor’s guidance. You will also learn and develop the importance of colour and design technique to produce unique and attractive textile projects.
You will learn how to reuse your leftover material to create a new piece of textile work.

As this course is online you will need to use your own material and following resources. These do not need to be expensive.

• Hand needle
• Measuring tape
• Scissor
• Ruler
• Lace trim
• Ribbons
